To Feel It All — The Things We Carry

It’s a blessing and a curse to feel it all.

And I’ve always been someone who feels it all.

Which means the beautiful things stay.

But so do the difficult ones.

The memories.

The hope.

The love.

Maybe that’s why letting go

has never come naturally to me.

Because when I love,

I don’t just remember people.

I carry them.

Their laughter.

Their favorite songs.

The way they made ordinary moments

feel a little less ordinary.

And if this were anyone else,

I’d probably be gone by now.

But you were never anyone else.

You were the person who brought life into my life.

The person who changed my perspective

and taught me more about myself.

How could I forget that?

How could I forget you?

The truth is,

I don’t want to.

Not because I’m holding on.

Not because I’m waiting.

But because some people become part of your story.

And even if the chapter ends,

the words remain.
